In an era where individualism dominates, self-reliance and personal freedom are celebrated as the highest ideals. The focus is often on personal success and the well-being of one’s immediate family. While these values have their place, they have also led to a world where empathy wanes, and the collective moral fabric weakens.
As we enter the blessed month of Ramadan, we pray to Allah (SWT) to enable us to fast and worship with sincerity and to derive benefits from this month. Ramadan, in addition to fasting and ʿibādah (worship), is a time to reflect deeply on the message of Qur’an and the principles of Islam.
When you read the statement “Identifying The Real Problem”, a couple of thoughts will pop up in your mind. You might think it is something we all need to know but we are not aware of it or it is something in front of us but we can not see it.
Every era has its own yardstick by which it is measured, and today’s era is gauged by none other than the smartphone. It is a device found in the hands of every man and woman, regardless of race, rank, wealth, or belief—transcending all divisions of age. It serves the same function for all. Is there anything else in this age that is as universally accessible?
For a Muslim, success is holistic and eternal, but they are forbidden from engaging in Satanic behaviors and actions, as outlined in the Quran and demonstrated through the practices of Prophet Muhammad (SAWW). Like any other human, a Muslim can live an ordinary, outwardly focused life, but they will remain troubled, restless, and surrounded by issues.
Six blind men who argue at length about what an elephant feels like, holding tight to their own views. “It’s like a rope,” says the man who touched the tail. “Oh no, it’s more like the solid branch of a tree,” contends the one who touched the trunk. And so on and so forth, and round and round they go.The story of the blind men and the elephant is a powerful metaphor for the human tendency to cling to our own perspectives and beliefs, often to the detriment of understanding the full truth.
